In Breezly & Sneezly, a polar bear named Breezly Bruin perpetually invaded and freeloaded off of an Alaskan Army outpost called Camp Frostbite. Prone to party, he was especially fond of crashing Military Dances. Breezly roomed in an off-base igloo with his diminutive buddy Sneezly Seal — so named for his penchant for sneezing. Sneezly provided moral support, but didn’t otherwise participate in the polar bear’s schemes. A true pal, Sneezly never lost faith in his friend, despite Breezly’s lengthy track record of failure.
The commander of Camp Frostbite, Colonel Fuzzby, obsessed over stopping Breezly’s incursions. Although Fuzzby’s luck was mostly bad, Breezly’s poorly executed plans nearly always delivered him directly into the Colonel’s grasp.
Breezly & Sneezly was one of three segments on the half-hour series, The Peter Potamus Show, which premiered in 1964. The 7-minute segments played alongside featured segment Peter Potamus & So-So, and other backing segment Yippee, Yappee & Yahooey. After one season, Breezly & Sneezly traded places with Ricochet Rabbit & Droop-a-long to be included as a segment on The Magilla Gorilla Show.
Breezly & Sneezly consisted of 23 episodes in total. Bucking the trend of the majority of Hanna-Barbera characters who took part in ensemble shows once their own series had ended, Breezly and Sneezly left the limelight and quietly slipped into obscurity.
