When you think of a superhero who operates from a secret bat cave, responds to crises in a bat-themed automobile, and whose costume comes with a cape resembling bat wings, one hero jumps to mind: Batfink! Outfitted in yellow spandex and large, black metallic bat wings, the human-sized bat used his supersonic sonar radar and a slew of gadgets to help defeat criminals.
Batfink’s Asian sidekick Karate accompanied him on his adventures. Karate speedily chauffeured Batfink to crime scenes in their pink colored car, the Battilac, and used his martial prowess to chop criminals — and everything else — down to size.
The two crime fighting companions faced oddball villains like Hugo A Go-Go, Ebenezer The Freezer, Big Ears Ernie, Queenie Bee and others for a total of one hundred, 6-minute adventures. The cartoons were released into local syndication, where they aired in locally produced cartoon compilation programs.
